Væv
(2018-)
‘Væv’ means tissue and centers the feeling of connectedness to a place or a state of mind. The work is an investigation of my childhood home and the surrounding landscape. I started the project in 2018, where I felt stressed and disconnected and therefore searched home. Surfaces, textures, scenes, landscapes, are the result of spending restless days at the farm where me and my relatives are grown up, searching for answers about identity, belonging and disharmony.
Since then I have been working with different medias and materials. This series of pictures is the first dummy.
The project was exhibited at Helsinki Photo Festival in 2021.
